Hard to believe they did flourish
Fallen leaves, surrounding trees
Gentle patterns blown in breeze.

Delicate vision of lacy leaf
Looked in amazment, disbelief
Beautiful, belonging to yesteryear
Nature at work, have no fear.

Time to lite, clear the ground
Smoke filled eyes as flames abound
Nature's magic has come full circle

Girl in the GlassI hate this girl
With the sneer on her lips
Her fingers knotted in her pretty hair
Her eyes are wild
Manic, sadistic
She's so curvy it's almost sad
She can't hold down a diet
She's hideous
And stupid
She keeps yanking down her sleeves to cover those pathetic scars
Her eyes are droppy
Her legs too wide
Ink stains on her finger tips
And pentagram's drawn on her sneakers
She has a silver ring and leather coat
She's so desperate to worm into some else's skin
I don't want to hate her but I do
Who is this, stupid bitch who's smiling like she doesn't have a clue?
Putting on a brave face? Ready to face her accuser?
He's waiting in the car

Stardusti have this love etched into my skin,
it wraps around my empty heart like a forgotten melody,
lines and verses of nothing but stardust,
seeping into my bones.

Abandon MeAbandon me.

Leave me cold and in the dark,
leave me to wither and shrivel and become small,
leave me to starve and suffer with hunger,
because I am starving for understanding.

If I could feel pain so deeply that it would change me,
maybe I could understand what it means to truly
be
human.

So, abandon me.

Lady RavenLady Raven stands on the roof top ledge
Black gleaming eyes peering over the edge
Beautiful dusky feathers are tinged with red
And bones show through where she has bled
Her wings are broken and useless now
From stones and rocks thrown at her brow
Just some wicked child's ruthless game
Who taught such a thing should die of shame
Somehow she manages to still stand tall
Upon the edge of this man-made wall
Lady Raven then jumps into the air
And spreads her broken wings with flair
She plummets down towards the earth
Slightly gliding on the wind's wide berth
Broken body meets soil in a cry of pain

You are forgotten and mislead
I will take you by the hand
Attend you to your guiding light
You are forlorn
I will be your sanguine confidence
Enunciate your deepest transgressions
You are burdened of yourself
I will strip you of your fabricated façade
Drop your misleading shell

I will cleanse you of your filth
Dissolve your iniquity with abrasion

I will disembowel your demand for gluttony
Dislodge your slippery persistent ache

With the cord of your satiation

I will asphyxiate your bloody scarf

MakeupThe sinks water dribbles out
and forms a pool where the drain clogged
bubbles spill over the edge soaking the counter.

Scrubbing away the dirt of the day
trying to wipe away the memories of past
yet the makeup won’t come off the skin.

Black rivets dripping down in streams
mascara and eyeliner blurring dark circles
making raccoon circles around the eyes.

Rubbing into skin until vision blurs
the mirror reflects what is to be seen
a lonely girl with makeup that won’t come off.

Red lipstick is smeared on chin
and harsh soap turned pink and grey
the skin is gone turned brittle and dry.

Walking slowly and heavily, I travel to my valley where nothing grows. Here there is nothing, no dogs, no cats, no dinner menus, no children, no hope, no family, no friends; all but a small dilapidated cluster of hovels in the gray unchanging world. I enter my lonesome home and wait until the grasping of night. The one light that keeps me warm is switched off, and I enter into my moist and freezing bed. I believe the children in the other worlds get a good night and some form of gratification before they enter into their soft and loving dreams. I get none, but the feelings of my moldy sheets slowly covering

The Best ThingOnce upon a time,
I remembered you and I.
Pulling apart the picture frame,
Like a lion untamed.

Every teardrop I would cry,
Over your sick little lies.
An internal warfare.
All ‘cause you never cared.

You left me alone,
Like ice cream without the cone.
To stand in the rain,
Tortured from the pain.

But once upon right now,
I simply wonder how?
How I even put up with you,
After all the times I felt blue.

Don’t try to come back,
Saying you’ve finally gained what you lack.
Because see, now I am glad,
